Complaints, Rates, and Forms Tracking System
Business Need
The LDI’s legacy systems for tracking complaints, rate filings, and form filings needed to be modernized and streamlined into one application in order to improve process efficiency. This system needed the capability to interface with the national form filing and rate filing system SERFF (System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing). The LDI also required a system that decreased their dependency on paper documents.
Our Approach
We worked with the LDI to analyze the existing processes and create a comprehensive project plan. The result was an AJAX-enabled web application system that encompassed the three legacy systems into a single system, while having an intuitive user interface, an extensive workflow system, and both an internal LDI staff component and an external user component for external users to submit and respond to the LDI entirely online.
Key Features
A consistent user interface across all areas of system functionality, system security tied to the LDI’s user management system to enable Single Sign-On, and a robust interface with SERFF to reduce input errors and improve user productivity. Dramatic reduction in paper used by the LDI due to transforming the existing manual paper processes into automated electronic processes.
